Cabbage shredder brought from Poland used to make sauerkraut

Wedding corsages worn and missals carried at the wedding of Drago and Zora Radinovic in Salzburg, Austria in 1958

Owned by Mr Filippi who use to sell wine until Mr Borgo had the business. 

Raw pasta dough put into the cylinder, the handle is rotated and pasta comes out the bottom into a bowl on the floor.

Used to cut grass for cows that the Filippi family kept in Steeltown (Cringila)

Brought to Australia by Mistica Rosa Scapin from Italy to Wollongong NSW in 1929. Used to cook family meals. It was suspended above the wood fire in their kitchen.

Used by Rina’s mother and Rina to mend sheets and pillow-cases for the boarders in their home in Cringila

Couldn’t buy good coffee in Wollongong and particularly not the espresso coffee drank in Italy, so brought the coffee bean roaster over when family joined Giacomo Filippi in Wollongong in…

The item came from Italy with Anna and Bruno Facci in 1960. It was used daily until the mid-seventies when an electric coffee grinder replaced the hand grinder.
